Commissioner posts a poll for all managers.

Timing: Pre-draft, during draft, or right after draft.

Options:

• 1X — $10
• 2.5X — $25
• 5X — $50

Higher multiplier = bigger winner bag. League decides the skin in the game.

WEEKLY X CHAMPION (THE MAIN FEATURE)

This is the league's signature mechanic. It creates weekly drama and stops any team from running away after a hot Week 1.

Scope: Regular season ONLY. No ❌ Lock during the playoffs.

Week 1 — Crown the First X Champion

• Highest scoring team in the entire league becomes the first X Champion.
• Tiebreaker: Head-to-head from Week 1 → bench points → coin flip by commissioner.

Week 2 and Beyond — The X Lock (Forced FLEX)

The X Champion gets to force one of their opponent's FLEX players to start.

• The X Champion selects ONE player who is eligible for a FLEX spot on the team they are matched up against that week.
• That player is locked into the opponent's starting FLEX lineup.
• The opponent cannot bench that player, even if it's a bad matchup or the player is in a slump.
• The X Champion is essentially saying: "You're starting this one. No hiding him."

DECLARATION RULE:

• Commissioner posts the Call for ❌ Lock on Thursday.
• X Champion must publicly name the locked player in the league chat by Friday 11:59 PM CT.
• No declaration = no X Lock that week.

TITLE TRANSFER:

• Win your matchup → keep the title.
• Lose your matchup → the team that beat you takes the X Champion title for the next week.

ADMINISTRATION

Commissioner Workflow:

1. Monday after scores finalize → announce the new X Champion.
2. Thursday → post the Call for ❌ Lock in league chat.
3. X Champion declares locked player by Friday 11:59 PM CT.
4. If opponent tries to bench the locked player → commissioner notes it in the Monday recap (or league honors the lock).
5. Title transfers on loss automatically.
6. Regular season only — no ❌ Lock in the playoffs.
